Shishuka Malhotra, MD is the Founder and Medical Director of Neuro-Behavioral Clinical Research, Inc. in Canton/Akron OH. Dr. Malhotra is a board-certified psychiatrist and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Northeast Ohio College of Medicine and has served as past President of Northeast Ohio’s Chapter of the American Psychiatric Association. Dr. Malhotra completed her psychiatry residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, and served as chief resident. She went on to complete a fellowship in Biological Psychiatry and Psychopharmacological Research at the University of Cincinnati during which time she received several awards for her psychiatric research efforts.
Dr. Malhotra has over fifteen years of research and clinical experience. She has served as Principal and Co-Investigator on over a hundred Phase II through Phase IV research trials with a focus on central nervous system disorders, women’s health, obesity, pain disorders and drug addiction working with the University of Cincinnati, Cleveland Clinic Foundation, National Institute of Drug Addiction (NIDA) and major pharmaceutical companies. She is widely published in psychiatric journals and an international presenter of scientific findings. Dr. Malhotra is currently an active clinician, researcher and advocate for reducing the stigma associated with mental health diagnoses and increasing patient accessibility to psychiatric services.
