Jonas Dorn
Digital Biomarkers Technology Lead
Roche

Jonas Dorn has been working with digital biomarkers since 2013, when he joined Novartis to develop a tool to assess physical disability in patients with multiple sclerosis via video-based machine learning. He held positions of increasing responsibility at Novartis until he was leading the digital biomarker program activities within global drug development with digital biomarker projects across all disease areas. Jonas holds a MSc in materials engineering from ETH Zurich, Switzerland, and a PhD in biology from The Scripps Research Institute, La Jolla, CA, USA. His cell biology research was focused on image and data analysis of spatio-temporal processes in living cells, and he has continued to be involved in data science: Most recently, he co-authored the Novartis good data science practices.
In October 2020, Jonas joined the digital biomarker team at Roche as a digital biomarker technology lead.
