Sarah Atkinson
ERG/Finger Lakes Clinical Research

Dr. Atkinson, a native of New Orleans, is a child psychiatrist and, for decades, a Principal Investigator in the conduct of clinical research trials, specializing in Central Nervous System studies in both adult and pediatric patients. Dr. Atkinson is often called upon by international clients in the planning and design of study protocols. Double Board Certified in both Adult, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, she was an elected member of the American College of Psychiatrists.

The Director of Rochester, NY’s ERG/Finger Lakes Clinical Research, she has, over a span of 30 years, conducted close to two hundred studies on behalf of the majority of national and international pharmaceutical companies.

A co-author of two recognized texts in the treatment of psychiatric disorders, Dr. Atkinson has written and contributed to numerous books and journals in her field.

She received her B.S. in Mathematics, Magna Cum Laude, from the Sophie Newcomb Memorial College of Tulane University, then going on to a joint Tulane/Princeton program for her M.S. in mathematics, as well.

Dr. Atkinson received her MD at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. She completed her Residency, Fellowship and appointment as Chief Resident at the Karl Menninger School of Psychiatry.

She has held numerous teaching fellowships, both in Psychiatry and Mathematics, at Tulane, Oklahoma City University, the Karl Menninger School of Psychiatry and the University of Rochester School of Medicine.
Dr. Atkinson resides in Rochester, NY.

Dr. Atkinson founded Finger Lakes Clinical Research in 2006 which, in 2019, became a wholly owned subsidiary of the Evolution Research Group, LLC, headquartered in New Providence, NJ
