Vivek Ramaswamy is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Roivant Sciences. Roivant is a new type of pharma company with a fundamentally different approach to pharma R&D through technology. Roivant has developed over 40 medicines and recently signed a $3B partnership with a large Japanese pharma company. Mr. Ramaswamy was born in Cincinnati and graduated as valedictorian of St. Xavier High School, where he was a competitive tennis player. He graduated summa cum laude in Biology from Harvard College and began his career as a successful biotech investor and partner at QVT, a New York hedge fund. He continued to work as an investor while earning his law degree at Yale Law School, where he was a recipient of the Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship. In 2020, Mr. Ramaswamy served on Ohio’s coronavirus task force. Mr. Ramaswamy also serves on the board of directors of The Foundation for Research on Equal Opportunity, a nonpartisan think tank focused on expanding economic opportunity to those who least have it. He has authored numerous articles and op-eds, which have appeared in The Wall Street Journal,The New York Times,The Dispatch, and Harvard Business Review. In 2020, he emerged as a prominent national commentator on issues relating to shared American identity, appearing on Fox Business, Tucker Carlson Tonight, and other forums.
