Director of Clinical Development
Dr. Todd Solomon is a licensed clinical neuropsychologist and a director of clinical development at Avanir supporting a range of programs targeting psychiatric and neurologic diseases. His research and clinical expertise has focused primarily in neurodegenerative diseases and he specializes in such areas as neurocognitive assessment, electronic clinical outcomes (eCOA) and data science.
Prior to joining Avanir, Dr. Solomon was an associate director at Signant Health in their clinical science group for 4.5 years where he provided consultation and oversite on numerous phase II and III programs across a range of therapeutic areas (e.g. dementia, neurology, neuropsychiatry). He was also directly involved in the creation and validation numerous eCOA outcomes and systems utilized in global pharmaceutical development programs and helped lead the development of Signiant’s Data Science group.
Dr. Solomon received his PhD from New York University with a specialization in clinical neuropsychology. He completed an NIH fellowship at Boston University School of Medicine in their Alzheimer’s Disease and Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy research center. Following the completion of fellowship, he joined Boston University School of Medicine as a clinician and investigator.Clinically he has specialized in the evaluation and diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases and has published over 50 peer reviewed abstracts and manuscripts on a range of associated topics.
