Benjamin Vandendriessche, PhD is CMO at Byteflies, a Belgian-American wearable health startup that built the Sensor Dot, a powerful platform for 24/7 generation of medical insights to augment (distributed) clinical trials with real-world evidence.

He is specialized in the development of digital biomarkers and clinical endpoints from physiologic data. He completed a PhD in molecular biology at Ghent University as an IWT Fellow in 2013, followed by a postdoc in computer science at Case Western Reserve University in 2016 as a BAEF Fellow. He currently is an adjunct professor at the Department of Electrical, Computer and Systems Engineering at CWRU.
