Dr. Peterson trained in Physics (BS, MS), Biophysics (MS, Ph.D) and served two postdoctoral fellowships in pulmonary medicine. He then worked as a professor in academia for 20 years doing research on methods for assessing acute lung injury (University of Rochester, University of Texas). In 1999 he joined Pfizer’s clinical technology group where he developed a variety of clinical technologies including the use of actigraphy in clinical trials. He joined Philips in 2011 to increase the value of actigraphy in clinical trials through the use of advanced mathematical analyses of the data.
